Juventus End Real Madrid’s Champions League Dream

Despite losing 2-1 in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final with Juventus, Real Madrid had every chance to advance to the final. Away goals can either be crushing or a salvation in the Champions League. In this case, a 1-0 win would have been enough for Los Merengues to progress.

However, the football results from yesterday (13 May) clearly show that Real Madrid drew 1-1 to Juventus for a 3-2 aggregate loss. That leaves the revitalised Juventus ready to play in their first European final since May 2003 when they lost in the Champions League to Milan.

Real Madrid had aspired to retain the Champions League in back-to-back seasons for the first time in 30 years. All had appeared to be going well when Cristiano Ronaldo scored after 23 minutes, but Real were unable to respond after former player Álvaro Morata scored after 57 minutes. Juventus will play Barcelona in the 2015 Champions League final.

Newbury Horse Racing Preview – 15 May 2021

A packed racecard has been lined up for horse racing fans in Newbury today (Friday 15 May). Provided that the weather holds, the going will be good to firm and good in places on the turf. Today’s racing tips have been drawn from Sky Sports.

The £30,000 14:55 Handicap is the standout race of the day, and that will be our prime focus for these horse racing tips. A crowd of 10 runners aged four or older has been assembled to compete.

Golden Steps has been identified as the marginal favourite at 7/2, but the four-year-old Frankie Dettori-ridden horse has not won in seven races. Form is not on the side of Golden Steps for this race.

The more experienced Clear Spring at 5/1 is seven years old and won in its last race. Another decent prospect is the 4/1 Fast Track, a winner in two of its last seven.
