Sevilla to Play Dnipro in Europa League Final

Rafa Benítez will not have the chance to add a second Europa League winners’ medal to his collection after his Napoli side lost 2-1 on aggregate to Dnipro. The former Liverpool manager won the competition in 2013 with Chelsea.

Napoli had struggled to a 1-1 draw in the home leg of their semi-final against Dnipro. A number of key chances were missed by Napoli in the away leg, leaving the final score 1-0 to Dnipro, who now advance to the 2015 Europa League final.

In the second of yesterday’s matches from the Europa League, current holders Sevilla eased past Fiorentina with a comfortable 2-0 win in Italy. Having won the first leg 3-0, Sevilla racked up an aggregate victory of 5-0.

Winning a second Europa League in two years will earn Champions League qualification for Sevilla, which is a big deal because the club looks to set to miss out on fourth place to Valencia in La Liga.

Vallance Road emerged as a surprising 16/1 winner in the 17:15 Maiden Auction Stakes, followed by a win at shorter odds of 4/1 when Squire claimed the 17:50 Handicap. Resonant then defeated 8/11 favourite Fallen For A Star at 5/1 in the 18:25 Maiden Stakes.

Doncaster Top Speed Ratings – 16 May 2021

Another trip to Doncaster is in order for our weekend speed ratings. Horses should be running on good to firm ground on the straight course, while the round course is good (good to firm on the home straight). Those conditions will ensure some speedy battles on Saturday (16 May).

The Racing Post is a pillar of the sport for top speed ratings horse racing analysis. That is why we have looked to the site for today’s analysis over at Doncaster. A prime early race to target is the 18:15 Handicap with its 10 runners.

Maven has the quickest speed rating of 98, with Headline News just behind on 96. However, Headline News has finished fourth or better in its last six races, where as Maven has only managed two seconds.

An intriguing prospect is the 62-rated Persona Grata, with two wins, two seconds, and a third in its past six races.
