Leicester Horse Racing Results – 18 May 2021

Fine conditions were enjoyed at Leicester Racecourse on Monday (18 May), with the going good throughout the early evening. Only six races were hosted in a more compact slate of action. UK horse racing results yesterday from Leicester will now be summarised in full.

In the first race of the evening, Case Key was the 4/1 winner of the 18:15 Maiden Stakes. Up next, Sea The Skies claimed the win in the 18:45 Handicap at 15/8. Go Sakhee disappointed as favourite by finishing third at 7/4.

World Record then won at 9/2 in the 19:15 Selling Stakes, finishing ahead of joint 6/4 favourites Pearl Ransom and Cry Fury. A win then followed for 7/4 favourite Third Time Lucky in the 19:45 Handicap.

Classic Win (9/4) finished ahead of favourite Accra Beach (4/6) in the 20:15 Maiden Stakes, with 15/8 favourite Hubertas claiming the 20:45 Handicap to finish the evening.

Chelsea Lose 3-0 to West Brom on Monday Night

Premier League champions Chelsea disappointed fans with a 3-0 away loss to West Brom in the penultimate game of their season. Nobody expected this outcome from a José Mourinho team that has been steady for the vast majority of the season.

Easily the most shocking from the UK football results last night, West Brom got off to an incredible start with a goal after only nine minutes from Saido Berahino. Cesc Fàbregas then earned a red card after 30 minutes for deliberately kicking the ball at a group of West Brom players.

Chelsea then conceded a Berahino penalty after 47 minutes before West Brom captain Chris Brunt added a third after 60 minutes. Chelsea held 60% of possession yet could only muster three shots on target to West Brom’s five.

Chelsea have the chance to atone on Sunday in a home fixture against Sunderland in what will be the final game of their season.

Ayr Horse Racing Speed Ratings – 20 May 2021

Ayr Racecourse will have seven opportunities for fans to pick a winner today (Wednesday 20 May), and that is where our focus will be for this current installment of daily speed figures. To ensure quality, we have looked for the latest figures from the Racing Post.

The prime race of the day is the 16:50 Handicap and its £12,000 prize pot. Competition will be intense over the soft surface as jockeys and their mounts strive to win in this race featuring eight runners.

After checking out the figures, it appears that Long Awaited is top contender with its 93 speed rating and 90 overall rating. Although Master Bond (96) and Classy Anne (95) are rated quicker, these horses are rated overall as 83 and 78, respectively.

On the basis of form, seven-year-old Long Awaited has finished second twice and third once in its past three outings.
