Chester Boodles May Festival Results – 8 May 2021

The Boodles May Festival was hosted this week at Chester Racecourse. From the action, a number of impressive UK horse racing results were witnessed on Thursday (8 May).

The 14:10 IG Handicap was the first race of the afternoon. Collaboration won as favourite at 9/4, sprinting to victory on soft ground. Maverick Wave then made a late charge to claim victory in the 14:10 Betfair Huxley Stakes.

Hans Holbein rode to victory as favourite at 7/4 in the main event 15:10 MBNA Chester Vase. Carry On Deryck emerged victorious at longer odds of 10/1 in the 15:45 Boodles Diamond Handicap.

Young John was the 2/1 winner as favourite in the 14:20 Stallions Maiden Chase. A win then followed for the 8/1 Navigate in the 16:55 Betway Handicap. Mica Mika stepped up to win the concluding 17:25 Investec Asset Finance Handicap at 8/1 ahead of Ardmay at 7/1.

Chelmsford Horse Racing Results – 6 May 2021

Going is always standard at Polytrack courses like Chelmsford. Doctor Sardonicus rewarded backers in the first race with an impressive victory at 12/1 in the 18:15 Handicap. Lacan then became the first favourite of the day to win, securing the 18:45 Handicap at 3/1.

Gentlemusic became the next 12/1 winner, snatching victory ahead of Falling Petals at 2/1 in the 19:15 Fillies Handicap. UK horse racing results and payouts were again boosted by a win for a favourite. Covert Love was the 9/4 victor in the 19:45 Median Auction Maiden Stakes.

Star Rider then won as favourite at 11/10 in the 20:15 Maiden Fillies Stakes, which as followed up by a 3/1 win for Pinzolo in the 20:45 Conditions Stakes – the highly favoured Nearly Caught missed out at 5/4. Foxy Forever emerged victorious in the late 21:15 Handicap at 10/3, leading favourite Flying Bear (7/4) in third.

 

Brighton Racecourse Results – 5 May 2021

Brighton Racecourse was fortunate enough to enjoy fine weather conditions on Wednesday (5 May). The going started off as good to soft before changing to good (good to soft in places). Conditions were ideal for favourites to triumph.

Fujiano’s 11/10 victory in the 14:20 Maiden Auction Stakes marked the first of three for favourites. Chevallier came next in the schedule, winning at 10/11 in the 14:50 Handicap. Freddy With A Y then stepped up with a more generous 9/4 triumph in the 15:20 Handicap.

Pick A Little at last broke up the dominance of the favourites by winning at 6/1 in the 15:50 Handicap. Tears Of The Sun then emerged as the next victor at 8/1 in the 16:20 Fillies Handicap.

Ginzan (3/1) beat out favourite Iseemist (5/4) to snatch the 16:50 Handicap. Glennten then concluded the UK horse racing results and payouts with a 15/8 win as favourite in the 17:25 Apprentice Handicap.

Kempton Horse Racing Results – 4 May 2021

Kempton Park was a bright and sunny 17c on Monday afternoon, giving spectators a fantastic May Day to savour. The outstanding conditions ensured that the going was good across the track.

Rock N Rhythm started the day by winning the 13:30 Novices Hurdle as favourite at 4/5. Art Mauresque made it two-in-a-row for the favourites by winning the 14:00 Novices Chase at 11/10. West Wizard then completed the trifecta by triumphing as 4/6 favourite in the 14:35 Novices Hurdle.

The pattern of favourites would soon be broken, however. In the 15:10 Handicap Chase, Champion Court emerged as the victor at 9/2. Urcalin then claimed the 15:45 Handicap Hurdle at 7/1.

Claret Cloak took spectators into the final stretch of UK horse racing results yesterday by winning the 16:20 Handicap Chase at 9/2. Mr Lando kept the favourites out yet again by winning at 3/1 in the 16:50 Handicap Hurdle.

Newmarket Horse Racing Results – 3 May 2022

Spectators hoping for fine weather over the bank holiday weekend will have been disappointed Sunday at Newmarket, where the conditions were overcast and raining. Consequently, the going was soft for the entire course. The difficult conditions ensured that no favourites managed to win in those UK horse racing results.

Bronze Beau made the step up to the gold standard by winning at 4/1 in the 13:40 Handicap, after which it was Hopes N Dream at 7/1 that clinched the 14:10 Handicap. Aramist stepped up next to win the 14:45 Handicap at 9/2.

After three-straight races without a favourite winning, Ralphy Lad kept the streak going by winning the 15:20 at 11/4. A win then followed for Appleberry at 9/1 in the 15:55 Conditions stakes.

More Mischief managed to win the penultimate 16:30 Maiden Stakes race at 8/1. West Brit then completed the shut out of favourites with a 10/1 victory in the 17:05 Handicap.

Punchestown Festival Results – 30 April 2022

There was relative calm in the UK horse racing results yesterday, which is why we are recapping a couple of key outcomes from the Punchestown Festival on Thursday (30 April). The cream of Irish horse racing came out in force for this annual event.

In terms of conditions, the going was yielding on the hurdle & chase course, while the going was good on the cross-country course.

The first main result to recap is the 17:30 Ladbrokes World Series Hurdle. Hurricane Fly had been hotly tipped as the 6/4 favourite to win the race, but it was the speedy Jezki, ridden by Mark Walsh, at 5/2 that won.

Any disappointment felt by jockey Ruby Walsh and trainer Willie Mullins from losing the 17:30 soon eased when they won the 18:40 Ryanair Novice Chase. The highly favoured Un De Sceaux made it possible by winning at extremely short odds of 1/10.

Ascot Horse Racing Results – 29 April 2022

After a cloudy start to Wednesday, the sun later emerged to brighten the day at Ascot Racecourse. The going was good to firm (firm in places), inspiring some quick finishes. Here is your brief roundup of Ascot’s UK horse racing results from Wednesday (29 April).

Log Out Island started proceedings in winning fashion, securing the 14:25 Conditions Stakes at 9/2 in front of Handytalk at 7/1. Sperry was the second winner of the day at 4/1 in the 15:00 Stakes, with Touchline finishing second at 8/1. Mizzou gave punters another 4/1 winner after clinching the 15:30 Stakes.

Limato was the first favourite of the day to win, doing so at 6/4 in the 16:05 Stakes. That was followed by a 7/2 win for Moohaarib in 16:35 Stakes. Directorship completed Ascot’s race schedule by winning at 8/1 in the 17:10 handicap, leaving the more highly favoured Duelling Dragon to finish third at 4/1.

Nottingham Racecourse Results – 28 April 2022

Sunny spells were enjoyed at Nottingham Racecourse on Tuesday (28 April), where the going was good to firm. First to triumph in the UK horse racing results yesterday was 8/1 Down to Earth, winning ahead of Lord Reason at 14/1 in the 14:15 Median Auction Maiden Stakes.

Best Kept earned a first win for the favourites by clinching the 14:45 Handicap, leaving 9/2 Artful Prince to finish second. Azagul followed that with a 3/1 win in the 15:15 Fillies Handicap. The 5/4 favourite Isabella Bird could only manage third.

Stormin Tom reward backers with a sizeable 12/1 win in the 15:45 Handicap, crossing the line before 11/1 Bakht a Rawan. Steve Rogers then delivered another favourite winner at 3/1 in the 16:15 Handicap.

Winner of the sixth and final race of the afternoon was the 3/1 favourite Star Fire in the 16:50 Handicap. William Twiston-Davies rode the winner to finish before 5/1 Mountain Man.

Ayr Horse Racing Results – 27 April 2022

Conditions quickly changed to be good to firm after the first race yesterday (Monday 27 April) at Ayr Racecourse. Rain showers appeared throughout the day, but the weather did not prevent any races from running.

Red Tycoon began the schedule by winning at 3/1 in the 13:50 Maiden Stakes, followed by a 9/1 win for Junky in the 14:25 Handicap. A win then came for Margrets Gift at 9/2 in the 15:00 Handicap.

Favourite Al Khan won at 9/4 in the 15:30 Handicap, after which Cono Zur won at 9/1 in the Handicap. Hydrant claimed the 16:35 Handicap at 3/1 ahead of the favoured Silver Duke at 5/2.

The final race of the day saw Chilworth Bells win with odds of 4/1 in the 17:05 Handicap. Seraffimo provided value as an each-way finisher at 33/1, with Moon Arc coming third 10/1. Monday was a poor day at Ayr for backing favourites in UK horse racing results.

Wetherby Horse Racing Results – 26 April 2022

Wetherby Racecourse is situated within close reach of Leeds, giving the course a regular flow of horse racing fans coming to visit. In the UK horse racing results yesterday (Sunday 26 April), they had eight races to watch. The going was good (good to firm in places).

In Focus started the day as an 11/1 winner in the 14:00 Handicap, followed by a 16/1 win for Great Fun in the 14:35 Maiden Stakes. The odds then shortened for 3/1 winner Mount Tahan in the 15:05 Maiden Stakes.

A win then came for Corona Borealis at 7/1 in the 15:35 Handicap, which was followed by a long-shot victory from Lady Lekki at 20/1 in the 14:10 Maiden Auction Stakes.

Ridge Ranger was the winner of the 16:40 Fillies Handicap at 16/1, while favourite Snappy Guest won at 3/1 in the 17:15 Handicap. Moccasin was the final victor at 8/1 in the 17:45 Handicap.
