Haydock Park will draw a happy crowd of spectators to enjoy some horse racing this Easter weekend. Because of the showers forecast for Saturday 4 April, the going is expected to be soft. That could shake things up a little among the runners.
The latest daily speed figures come from the Racing Post, with the focus being on the 13:25 Novices Limited Handicap Chase. Runners will be aged five years or older and competing for a share of the £10,000 prize fund.
In viewing the speed figures for the 13:25, it is clear that Village Vic (7/2) is the quickest prospect with a speed rating of 147. The eight-year-old also has the highest Racing Post rating, which is 154.
The joint-favourite for the race is Ifandbutwhynot at 7/2. Comparatively, the nine-year-old has a speed rating of 136 and Racing Post rating of 147. Village Vic appears to have the edge between these favourites.
