Man Utd v Arsenal Ends in Stalemate

Man Utd ended their final home game of the Premier League season with a 1-1 draw versus Arsenal. On the balance, Man Utd were perhaps the better side. Louis van Gaal’s men held 57% possession during the game and created 12 total attempts to Arsenal’s five.

The Reds looked great in the first half, especially when Ander Herrera fired in a scintillating volley from an Ashley Young cross after 30 minutes. However, they proved unable to find a second goal to kill off Arsenal in the second half. Eventually, Arsenal were rescued by a Tyler Blackett own goal after 82 minutes.

Man City dominated Swansea City in the other Premier League football results from yesterday, beating the Welsh side 4-2. Yaya Touré gave fans a glimmer of his incredible performances from last season by scoring twice. The unsettled Ivory Coast international could leave City in the summer.
