Sevilla to Play Dnipro in Europa League Final

Rafa Benítez will not have the chance to add a second Europa League winners’ medal to his collection after his Napoli side lost 2-1 on aggregate to Dnipro. The former Liverpool manager won the competition in 2013 with Chelsea.

Napoli had struggled to a 1-1 draw in the home leg of their semi-final against Dnipro. A number of key chances were missed by Napoli in the away leg, leaving the final score 1-0 to Dnipro, who now advance to the 2015 Europa League final.

In the second of yesterday’s matches from the Europa League, current holders Sevilla eased past Fiorentina with a comfortable 2-0 win in Italy. Having won the first leg 3-0, Sevilla racked up an aggregate victory of 5-0.

Winning a second Europa League in two years will earn Champions League qualification for Sevilla, which is a big deal because the club looks to set to miss out on fourth place to Valencia in La Liga.
